Hello, I’m Ross or Teddy, The latter being both a nickname (for looking chubby like a Teddy bear) and (what was) my stand-up stagename. I performed stand-up comedy from 1998, being named Best Comedian at the Scottish Variety Awards and twice being runner-up in Scottish Comedian of the Year Finals.
I retired from live stand-up in 2014 to focus on my social media work and my writing. I wrote a weekly football column in The Dunfermline Press for two years, and moved into copywriting and community management. I'm currently community manager with the award-winning The Lane Agency in Edinburgh, where I advise clients on social media and content from both a creative and strategic perspective.
I have worked on (and continue to write for) TV & radio programmes across the BBC and Channel 4 and appear regularly on BBC Radio Scotland. I also write for other comedians. Aside from comedy, social media and content marketing, my key areas of interest/expertise include comedy, football, history, and Central & Eastern Europe.
